Last year we received a request from the Drone Valley Rotary Club to find a suitable site for 4500 crocus bulbs, together with a request to help plant them.
A number of sites were considered with a final mutual agreement being to use the grass strip dividing the Unstone Lay-by from Chesterfield Road. Volunteers from the Rotary Club, Dronfield Civic Society and Dronfield Hall Barn piled in and within two hours had completed the work.
